please help - heart attack diagnoses

Post a new topicby ilkzy on Sat Feb 23, 2008 12:30 am

could someone - anyone who knows - please tell me - how normal is it for a doctor to examine the breast area of a female patient in order to determine if they have had a heart attack? - a female friend of mine has just informed me that she is in hospital at this very moment - and that the doctor thoroughly 'examined' her breasts, and her buttock area alongside other things. - ofcourse there is a certain level of implied consent in the patient-doctor relationship - however it is critical that i determine whether this is a violation of professional ethics or, if there is really a sound, substantial basis for its execution. please help....
