Chest Pain for a Month...Please Help Please

Post a new topicby thaduck1 on Wed Jun 04, 2008 6:58 am

Hi im a 20yr old male, a little overweight and generally healthy

It started about a month ago I started having sharp Pains in the left side of my chest and sometimes palpitations (this has happened about twice), for the first few days i ignored it in hopes that it would go away.

BUT it didn’t it got really bad and i finally went to the hospital and stayed over night, they did an ECG blood tests, Blood Pressure, X- Ray – all of these came back normal and they could not find anything wrong with me and sent me on my way that was three weeks ago, and the pain is still there

The pain is mainly on my left side near the nipple, but sometimes spreads to the centre or the right, the pain is hard to describe because it comes in different forms
It is some times a shooting pain other times it feels like pressure or just a dull feeling

It does not really happen with any specific movement or action, i also have had a slight cough (in which i sometimes cough up yellow type mucus) a headache and pain behind my eyes.
I don’t know if this is all linked

I DONT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME THE DOCTORS SEEM TO THINK ITS A VIRUS OR SOMETHING, but its been going on for a month

Could this be an heart attack even tho its been going on for a month
