Chest Pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed May 01, 2002 2:25 am

I am 35yrs. old male . Have had no past health problems. Just in the last six months my blood pressure has gone up to high levels. At the same time I have started having a stabing , burning pain in the area of my heart. My MD said that it was angina, Most of the symtoms that I have read for angina are a crushing type pain. He started me on Lopresor and I did a stress test. Test was no problem. Medication brought down my BP but still haveing pain. Pain becomes intence with any elevation of my heart rate. I cannot seem to convince my MD that the pain is in my heart. He tells my that I would not be able to feel any pain if it was in my heart. If that is true why does the pain come with the heart rate. Any Ideas?
