chest pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Jul 24, 2002 3:50 pm

I've been having chest pains for about a week or so now and I would like to see if you can help me. The pain is on the left side of my chest, kinda of near my left arm & shoulder. I have no idea what it could be. Some days its a sharp pain when I breath in that goes to my lower back, and other days its a constant dull pain in my chest. It occurs at any time weather I'm just walking, sitting down are laying down. The only way it goes away is if I sit still for a few minuets and it will go away on its own.

Chest pain that worsens with deep breathing can be due to an inflammation of the lining of the heart (pericarditis) or the lining of the lungs (pleuritis).
See your doctor and specifically ask if tese diagnosis are possible causes of your pain.
