chest pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Aug 11, 2002 3:37 pm

My wife has been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation She has had constant chest pain for over a month now. The medication she is taking is not helping with the chest pain or the AF. She is taking a beta blocker , warfarin and darvocet for the pain. How serious are the chest pains? The Dr. is trying to thin her blood enough for an angiogram, and it looks like we need to wait another two weeks. Is my wife in any danger?

Pain that comes blockages in the heart arteies (coronary arteries) is usually episodic and not constant.
Nonetheless, a heart angiogram will certainly help to shed light on your wife's underlying heart problem.
