Sharp Chest PainsI'm a 22 yr old female, for the past 4 days i've been having the worse pains on my chest (left side). It's do bad that i did not go to work for 2 days, everytime i breathe i feel a stabbing pain on my chest. I have not been able to sleep on my side or on my stomach, i can only sleep sitting up. It is becoming very uncomfortable for me. I went to the doctor but he didn't find anything wrong with me.
Please Help
Re: Sharp Chest PainsThere are numerous causes of chest pain and include the following conditions:
Angina Heart Attack Mitral Valve Prolapse Aortic Stenosis Aortic Insufficiency Pericarditis Aortic Dissection Pleurisy Pneumothorax Pneumomediastinum Pulmonary Hypertension Pulmonary Embolism Pneumonia Esophagitis Esophageal Spasm Hiatal Hernia Duodenal Ulcer Pancreatitis Gallbladder Disease Musculoskeletal (Tietze's Syndrome) Anxiety/Panick Attacks All chest pains needs to be taken seriously, however, frequently the cause of the pain is not the heart. Sometimes it is important to notify your health care provider of ongoing symptoms or symptoms that have not abated over a certain period of time. This may lead him/her to further diagnostic clues. I would recommend you call your doctor back and give a staus update regarding your pains. [quote] I'm a 22 yr old female, for the past 4 days i've been having the worse pains on my chest (left side).
