WPW

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Jul 25, 2002 4:36 pm

I am a 52 yr old male. I was diagnosed with WPW about 20 yrs ago. I took tenormin for several years which worked well. Then I had sexual side affects. Now am taking Cardia 180 which does not help much. When i have a lot of irregular heart beats I take a tenormin 25 It helps some but Often times the symptoms are almost intolerable. I have shortness of breath, fluttering in my chest, somtimes lightheadedness. i run about 3mi. 3-4 times a week. This seems to help some. I rarely feel the symptom when I am running. But the symptoms are getting worse. Is there anything different i could do to help.

If you have not done so already you should have an evaluation by an electrophysiologist. You may be a candidate for ablation which can be curative.
