WPW

Post a new topicby wazfam29 on Sun Mar 15, 2009 9:30 am

My daughter was diagnosed with WPW when she was 17. Two electrophysisocardiologist confirmed this diagnosis. We did not go through the ablation at that time. When she was around 22 she went to an electrophysisolocardiologist who ran tests and had her wear a halter for 24 hours. He stated that there was no indication that she had WPW anymore. He stated that sometimes it ablates itself. My daughter is now 30 and pregnant. She is of the beleive that she no longer has WPW.

Now my son is in his 4th year of medical school and has discussed his sister to cardiologists who have told him that WPW does not ablate itself, that it may be intermittent or occur infrequently.

My question, which one is right? Can it ablate itself or is that unheard of?
