Balloon Procedure, AtherectomyBalloon Angioplasty
Balloon angioplasty (Figure 1) is performed alone or after atherectomy. In this procedure, a guide wire is threaded through the blockage, and a thin, un-inflated balloon is passed to the tip of the wire.
