I just want to mention that there is a Fibromuscular Dysplasia organization. The website is FMDSA.org. They have lots of info to share that can help you and your doctors. Hopefully through your searches, you've already found them.

Hope this helps. There are a lot of us out there. We just had our first annual meeting and the turnout was great so don't feel alone.

maybe this is too little too late - but FMD can happen in the coronary arteries- it is much rarer than happening in other areas - like renals and carotid arteries. the other way FMD impacts the heart is secondary - for example it may be in the renal arteries, then cause hpytertension, then impact the heart....

I love my cardio -vascular specialist - and would highlty reccomend him- Dr. Jeffrey Olin in Mt. sinai NY - best to get a clear diagnosis from a cardiaoligiest who treats FMD. He has published quite a bit and would be considered one of the few MD's who manage patients with this rare disease.
