On Christmas 2000 my mother was a heathy women at the age of 52 years old. She never had any signs of FMD or complained of pain in her neck. On Jan 1st 2001 my mother had a stroke due to FMD. We rushed her to the hospital and saved her life. She was then tested and told she had FMD. We were all shell shocked!! This stroke was a severe one and has affected her life dramatically.
