Blood Pressure starting to climb again. In July 2004 bilatral renal FMD was found. Since then I have had 4 angioplasties. The last one was in March 2008. My blood pressure was during fine till about a month ago when it has been climbing for short periods of time. The vascular surgeon mentioned to me that a renal artery bypass maybe something That i will need in the future. Has anyone had this done and if so did it help. Thanks
Re: Blood Pressure starting to climb again.well I don't know any one who did this for the renals
Maybe go to a kidney group discussion as it is not uncommonly done for people with vascular problems, or athlerosclerosis. i imagine it would be much like what is done for the heard - a cardiac arter bypass graft. Now that they use veins for grafting, maybe the graft would be resistant to FMD. another thing to do is to go to Pub med and search articles or case reports about grafting for kidneys = Hey are you pinkroom from the other site? this is Karen.
