Heart Attack

My mother is 59 years old, and on April 21st she suffered what the doctor called a major heart attack with extensive damage to the heart. She under went a heart cath and was ballooned and stented. She went to a room and passed out went back for another heart cath. received a pump for 4 days, because her heart was not strong enough to pump on its on. ON May 21st she went back for another heart cath complaining with the same problems. She was told that it was just going to take time to heal. My question: Is a major heart attack the same as a massive?
