Possible Heart Attack Warning Signs

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue May 14, 2002 6:03 pm

Hello,

I have a concern about my husband who is 40 years old and weighs 250lbs at 6 foot tall. He is a truck driver and has been having the following symptoms while driving; Chest pain or pain in his arms, neck, jaw and stomach; Pale or splotchy skin; Cold sweats; Nausea;
Weakness in his legs.

I am worried that he is having some early warning signs of a heart attack

He was out mowing the grass and came in and laid down on the living room floor because he said that his legs felt weak and I felt his arms and they were cold and clammy. He was pale. I took his blood pressure and it was 145/85 pulse 56. I also checked his blood sugar because I have a kit and it was 95.

He doesn't have any family history of heart problems. He refuses to go to the doctor even after my insistance. I am an EMT and I know that all of these are warnings signs. But I am not a doctor and need your advice.

Thank you very much for your time. I truly appreciate it. We have 4 children that need their father in their lives.
