Heart Attack

I had a heart attack last week, called "significant" by the doctors and had a stent implanted. I'm home now and will start cardiac rehab tomorrow. I'm having shortness of breath problems and the nurse at the heart care unit said this is a typical after effect of a heart attack However, I'm worried about how long this lasts. I'm a big talker, and a teacher, and I get winded just talking on the phone to friends. I worry about how it will affect my job when I go back to work. I see my cardiologist in three weeks, but was wondering if there was an answer here.
