Hello:
I am a 74 year old lady. About 3 years ago,I started to faint for little or no reason. One time I was getting a pain shot and just fainted before I even got the shot. When I finally woke up, they took me to emergency hospital. The next thing I knew they put in a pacemaker with 3 leads to my heart. Hello

On the 18th of June ,I too had a pacemaker...The Cardiologist punctured the heart muscle and I was in hospital for 3 days. I had fluid arournd the bottom of my heart. My question to you is....Did you have a lot of pain afterwards? This has been 2 months and I still have trouble laying on either side and on my back at night. I get real shot of breath and have pain when I excert myself..This has been a nightmare...The Dr who did this believes they need reinsert the leads, but he wasn't going to be in town, so he wanted another Dr to do this. But the day before surgery he called it off and I see him in the office tomorrow....It's as though he doesn't believe that theres anything wrong.. I don't know anyone who has has a pacemaker and was wondering if you could give me feed back... thanks
