Re: 25 year old developed pericarditis 2 years after open heartOpen Heart was in 1991. Stents in 2002. Idyiopathic pulmonary fibrosis diagnosed 2000. Dear God and every member on this forum I see the pain of exhaustion from a simple slow walk from a parking lot to a restaurant. I hear the non stop cough that makes it impossible for me to hear on the phone. I see the pillow being squeezed at his chest becaaaause of that "classical pain". I have moved all over the U.S.A., in hopes of finding the " right" place for hubby -- I wanted him to get better, but, instead the recent diagnosis of chronic constrictive pericarditis is so very hard on both of us. I really appreciate all the "posts" in this forum. I am weary and tired -- myself. I am realizing more and more that I need to do all that I used to do and that he used to do.
Please, LOOKERS become: WRITERS myself and others we need to hear the truth. Will be seeing surgeons this week that do NOT want to do a pericardium peeling. yes: they are reccommended cardiacthoracic surgeons. So, do we say O.K. shake their hand and say send us your bill, for nothing? Do we go for a 2nd opinion?? Do we do nothing???? Somehow that does just not feel right. Yet, I am anxious to hear from others at this forum. Thank You! Do we go locally, or do we travel to big place somewhere famous in the USA???
