I had just eaten and thought I might be having an allergic reaction. Pain started in my chest and lungs then moved into my back and neck. I thought I could sleep it off (big mistake). It gets worse when you lie down. Finally drove myself to the hospital still believing I had a food allergy. After a few questions and tests I was being prepped for cardiac catherization which confirmed pericarditus. After two days of medication in the hospital I was released.
