nerve and stroke

Post a new topicby copingeveryday on Thu Oct 09, 2008 10:19 pm

I am 36 years old and had a major stroke in 2000, i was 28 when it happened, i was numb on my left side and lost some of my hearing, couldn't talk well and couldn't walk well. The stroke happened in my brain stem. after numerous days of theropy i am almost back to normal, except for headaches all the time and numbness on my whole left side that causes strange feelings such as, tingleing, burning or just asleep, cold feels hot and something hot doesn't really bother me at all on that side, The doctor's that i have seen have no ideal why i had my stroke I"m wondering if it's just the nerve damage or if it could be something else. any ideals why it would still be feeling this was after 8 years, The cold weather makes it hurt so much i can't hardly stand it. Thank You, your replies would help.
